Amit Ahuja, M.D.

Dr. Amit Ahuja received his undergraduate degree from The Johns Hopkins University and his medical degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine. He performed his Gastroenterology fellowship at Ochsner Health System in New Orleans from 2001-2004 where he received extensive training in therapeutic endoscopy.

Dr. Ahuja, who is board certified in Gastroenterology, founded Pinnacle Gastroenterology at Willis-Knighton Medical Center in 2005. He is proficient in various GI procedures including EGD, colonoscopy, PEG tube placement, ERCP, and small bowel enteroscopy. He has a special interest in screening for colon cancer and in endoscopic treatment of colon polyps as well as treatment of peptic ulcer disease, h. pylori, GERD, irritable bowel syndrome and inflammatory bowel disease.

Dr. Ahuja regularly attends seminars and conferences to learn about the latest information on developments in the field of Gastroenterology. Dr. Ahuja is Board Certified in Gastroenterology by The American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).

Megan Johnson, PA-C

Megan Johnson studied kinesiology at La Tech University and earned her degree as a Physician Assistant at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport. After completing various rotations in Physician Assistant School, she decided to work in the area of Gastroenterology.

Megan strongly believes that you, the patient should have a thorough understanding of the procedures you will undergo, how your medication should be taken, and that you understand all of the steps involved in the treatment of your condition.

Megan is affiliated with the Louisiana Association of Physician Assistants and lectures at LSUHSC on different Gastroenterology topics. Megan Johnson, PA-C is Board Certified through The National Commission on Certification of Physicians.
